ARK Therapeutic is a family company. They specialize in oral
motor therapy to help a variety of goals. In 15 years they have developed over
80 products for speech and oral motor development, sensory integration, oral
defensiveness, texture aversions, drinking, and feeding to name a few.
ARK therapeutic sent me a couple pieces of chewelry from their new arrivals. This is fantastic! They have gem and brick shaped necklaces with a breakaway necklace cord, and also pencil toppers! I might have to get the pencil toppers before school. Their chew items have 6 colors and levels of toughness. These are great for sensory output for kids who have oral fixations, autistic, Asperger’s, or chew their nails. Little Crazy saw these and really wanted one. She chews her nails until they almost bleed. She wanted one that feels like fingers so she will quit chewing. When I communicated this to customer service they recommended these.
The things I love most about these items is EVERYTHING! They are made in the USA, medical grade, on the go, and the cords are breakaway so as not to cause injury if snagged on something.
I'm going to age myself here. Having worked with children that have a range of disabilities these are absolutely wonderful. The internet was a new thing when I worked with these children or I would have bought these on my own dime. Seriously!
