Little Green Pouch Review and Giveaway

Little Green Pouch sent me a couple of their pouches to try out and give an honest review. This was fun! I made my daughters baby food and toted around inconvenient containers and spoons when she was little. These would have solved a huge problem for me.

They look identical to store bought disposable versions. For kids with food allergies these could be a LIFESAVER! These would be great for kids at daycare, grandmas house, or just on the go!

You still get the ease of feeding your kiddo without a spoon or container.

Just open, fill, and zip closed and you are ready to go! Homemade blends and wholesome food without the expensive price. Another bonus is you KNOW what is in the food and no preservatives or unwanted ingredients.

They even have portion markers, a place for the kiddos name/date filled. These are BPA free and super easy to clean!

I think my favorite to make was pumpkin sweetened with a bit of apple or pear. Then run through a food mill.

Now enter to win!

Paderno Spiral Slicer

Paderno sent me this cool vegetable slicer to review and give my opinion on.
At first glance it didnt look that sturdy to me. There are suction cups on the bottom to attach it to the counter which made a huge difference.

It comes with 3 blades that make different spiral cuts.

The blades slide in like this:
Attach fruit to the handle and spikes, put it into the base and you are ready to go!
Push and crank the handle, and EAT!
The last neat thing I noticed as I was cleaning up is this........It cored the apple as well!!
This was a super fun product. The cleanup was super easy to do and just took a good rinse.

The site describes this as the following:
The spiral vegetable slicer cuts vegetables and fruits into curly, ribbon-like slices. By placing the vegetable or fruit on the prongs of the wheel and turning the wheel while pushing the base toward the vertical julienne blade, continuous spiral strands and curled julienne strips are created. The slicer is made of plastic.
Features:
  • 3 sets of blades with 1/8'' (3mm) or 1/4'' (6mm) spacing
  • Straight blade for ribbon cuts
  • Slicer Material: Plastic
  • Cleaning and care: Dishwasher safe
  • Warranty: 1 year
  •

NOW Go enter to win!! :)

Lily Nily Review and Giveaway

Lily Nily sent me the ADORABLE set to review and give my honest opinions.
This is an enamel coated kids bracelet. I was impressed at how sturdy this was. It will definitely hold up to a kids wear and tear. I think the perfect age for this is 5 and above. My daughter FREAKED over this. She loved the colors.
Next up is the adorable necklace. It is coated with the same enamel as the bracelet. The chain seems pretty standard for most kids jewelry. The pendant is a nice and light weight.

Lastly is the matching enamel earrings. My daughter has not had her ears pierced as of yet but when she does this will make a great addition to the set. They are very lightweight as well.

Overall I think this set is adorable. It seems to be very durable and perfect for kids 5+. I would like to see options of sterling silver and a charm type bracelet that isnt as rigid.

Lily Nily has a Facebook and and Twitter.

NOW time to get yours choice of bracelet!!

Cafe Press Review and Giveaway

CafePress.com sent me a gift certificate to order a few items for review as well as the process of their site.

I ordered a gymnastics bag, coffee mug, and an ornament.

The gymnastics bag was larger than I thought when I ordered. I covered up the name for privacy purposes. This is GREAT quality! The graphic is secured onto the nylon bag extremely well and will not wash off.

Next, I ordered a Christmas ornament. This could still per ordered as a valentines day present and be a super cute present. The image was a bit rough on the ornament, but turned out super cute none the less. My daughter started ballet this year and is obsessed with HK, so I just googled an image to match her interests.

Next up is a cup that my husband sent me an image for. The image is extremely smooth on the cup and turned out great. The cup designer was a bit tough and I wasnt sure if the image was going to be in the right spot. I think a bit of improvement could be done on the designer.

I might have to make some cute throw pillows or other Valentine’s Day Gifts next.
This was a fun site to get a few gifts made. It was relatively simple for the first time using the site. The items were packaged extremely well. Find out for yourself and enter to win a $25 gift code!

Corksicle

Corkcicle sent me this wine chiller to review and share my personal thoughts.

This is a fun little product! The corkcicle keeps your wine cold from the inside. The corkcicle is filled with a thermal gel that keeps your chill temperature for about one hour. This is a great product to keep you from having to deal with a bucket, ice, and condensation. Keep it in your freezer to have it ready at all times.
Simply pour a glass of your wine, and stick this corkcicle into the bottle.. voila! Your wine stays cold for up to an hour! Brilliant! I love the elegant look of an icicle as well.
Truly a super fun product to have when sharing a glass of wine with friends.

Fitness Friday - Nutrition/Giveaway

How do you start your mornings? Do you fill your bodys engine with junk or fuel? Would you let your kids do the same?

Most moms I know do not have the time or energy to eat on a nice schedule. My mornings used to consist of toast and a banana and a cup of coffee from the espresso machine. I was getting cluster headaches...alot. I made a couple simple changes. Quit coffee cold turkey, started up the juicer again, and eating an egg or protein shake for breakfast. My cluster headaches went away. My point is if you put junk in your body its not going to perform well. If you put quality foods into your diet... it will. Our bodies are not meant to eat processed food all the time. Think about the rise of disease with the introduction of processed foods. So many of the diseases and health issues just did not exist in the staggering numbers they do today.

I used to take soy protein, which I stopped because soy is one of the most heavily sprayed crops in the world. I now use whey protein that I get from Costco in the ginormous 6 pound bags. Take a look at this article on protein supplementation by www.foodnavigator-usa.com. As an older parent it is even more important that i make sure to get adequate protein to retain my muscle mass.

I have just found a new plant based protein Plant Fusion.  The taste and texture is amazing and the best I have tried to date.  I mixed it with almond milk for the sample packets I received.  It is a pea protein isolate. Plant Fusion is hypoallergenic, easily digestable and gluten free. It has no dairy, soy or animal. It has infused BCAA (branch chain amino acids) and L-Glutamine to support muscle strength and energy. Each scoop has 21 grams of protein in one 30g scoop. It is 100% Natural and Non-GMO.

Now you get the opportunity to try a one pound container of plant fusion! Which flavor will you choose? My choice would the the chocolate raspberry.
